2025 Lucid Air Pure Gains Range and Standard Heat Pump

The 2025 Lucid Air Pure now offers a range of 420 miles per charge, an increase of one mile from the 2024 model. This improvement comes despite the reduction in battery capacity from 88.0 kWh to 84.0 kWh. Lucid claims that the new Pure is the most energy-efficient vehicle ever, achieving 5.0 miles per kWh and a 146-MPGe rating from the EPA. The smaller battery pack helps reduce raw material use and energy demand on the public grid.

While the Pure benefits from this range boost, the higher-tier models see a decrease in range due to changes in EPA testing procedures. The Touring now offers a maximum range of 406 miles, down from 411, and the Grand Touring has a range of 512 miles, four miles less than before.

For 2025, all Lucid Air models come standard with a heat pump, previously introduced on the Air Sapphire. Additionally, the lineup now features "new-generation control hardware" that enhances the infotainment system with increased processing power and memory. The DreamDrive driver assistance system, including blind-spot monitoring and a 3-D surround view, is standard across all models. The Grand Touring also now includes the Surreal Sound Pro audio system as standard.

Pricing remains unchanged for the Air Pure at $71,400. The Touring is now priced at $80,400, and the Grand Touring at $112,400. Orders for the 2025 models are open starting today.
